adult bible study

St. Paul’s welcomes you to join in our
Adult Bible Studies!

We can’t predict what restrictions may or may not be
in place for such gatherings by September, but,
We would welcome you to the Tuesday Bible Study
group as it plans to resume weekly meetings at
St. Paul’s Eggertsville (4007 Main St.) on
September 14th at 10 am on the topic:
Dietrich Bonhoeffer, lover of God and God’s Word,
Pastor, Theologian, Martyr (1906-1945). Where did
Bonhoeffer find the courage to challenge the Nazi
regime in Germany in the 1930’s and 1940’s?
Ultimately in God’s Word. We will look at Bonhoeffer’s
life and times and writings, but primarily how he saw
God’s Word as his source of strength, even to death.
A man of faith whose last words were,
“This is the end, for me the beginning of life.”
(This topic will run about 10 weeks. In Advent we’ll
look at “Dreams and Visions in the New Testament.”)
Bring your own beverage – Timbits will be provided.
To allow us to plan for enough hand-outs and snacks,
please respond to Mary Wolf
(stpauls1827@juno.com) by Sept. 13
if you plan to attend.
